 Academic success in the digital, connected and globally dispersed environment of modern research demands not only high quality contributions but visibility. Researchers in all disciplines have to compete now not only within their university and discipline, but in an international academic arena where scholarly influence and presence matters a great deal more than at any time before. As a result, publishing in respected journals or by reputable publishers has become one of the key foundations of academic careers.
